Why should the printing industry install static eliminators?

The static electricity in the printing industry will be very large, mainly due to the increase and accumulation of static electricity generated by the static electricity carried by the object itself after printing (multiple friction).

The harm of static electricity to the printing industry is mainly vacuum cleaning and cross-color.
For the process of the printing industry, the process of removing static electricity is mainly divided into the following three parts.
1 is the destatic treatment of semi-finished products before printing,
2 is the control of the increase and accumulation of static electricity during the printing process,
3 is the static elimination during the division and storage after printing the finished product.

The following is a brief description of the electrostatic treatment methods and the causes and hazards of the three problems just mentioned:
1. Why do you want to eliminate static electricity before printing?
Since the main substrates of the printing industry are plastics and paper, these materials themselves have strong static electricity and the insulators are not suitable for directing static electricity to other media. Therefore, it is easy to carry static electricity. The accumulation of static electricity makes the substrates adsorb to each other and should not be peeled off and enter the printing machine in turn. Therefore, it is necessary to perform static elimination work on the surface of the substrate before printing. There are two main ways to remove static electricity in this step: Increase the conductivity of the material itself, but the life of the material is very short and the cost is very high. 2. Firstly, the dust removal and static elimination treatment are carried out at the same time to take the printed matter, so as to ensure the smooth separation of the substrate after the single sheet. In the printing machine, then the static elimination action is performed again at the paper inlet of the printing machine to ensure that the substrate does not have static electricity itself before printing to ensure that there is no cross color phenomenon in the subsequent printing process.
2. Since the static electricity of the object to be removed has been ensured before printing, why is there still static electricity removed during the printing process?
Because the main printing process in the domestic market is divided into three types: embossing, offset printing and screen printing. Their printing process has to generate multiple frictions. The static electricity on the surface of the object will be much higher. Very good control of static electricity can easily cause electrostatic ink and cross-color phenomenon on the printed matter. Moreover, due to high-speed friction during the printing process, the peeling will generate static electricity and the accumulation of static electricity can easily cause air discharge, resulting in electric shock or Fire. So how can we control the generation and elimination of static electricity during the printing process? It is necessary to ensure that the substrate has no static electricity before it contacts the template and that there is no static electricity on the surface of the printed product. The process is very cumbersome. Simply put, it is necessary to ensure that there are absolutely enough positive and negative ions in the printing process to give the object to be removed.
3. Why do the finished printed matter need to eliminate static electricity?
The problem is simple in order to prevent the finished printed matter from being neatly placed and stored after being divided. The solution is to install the static elimination device during the splitting.
Another point that needs special attention is:
Since most of the manufacturers of static elimination equipment now use a tip discharge method to eliminate the generation and elimination of static electricity.

It operates by generating a high voltage from a high voltage generator and then calling the molecules in the air through the discharge electrode to become positive and negative ions. To neutralize ions on the surface of the object. (By the way, the so-called static electricity is caused by the unevenness of local positive and negative ions.)
Therefore, as long as a conductor contacts the discharge electrode, there is a sparking phenomenon. Once a fire encounters a flammable or violent object, it will cause unnecessary industrial accidents.
However, in the modern printing industry, some printing must use some flammable and flammable auxiliary materials, so it is important to note that if you want to use flammable materials, manufacturers must not use the cutting-edge discharge static elimination equipment.
